Dallas Meets Dynasty White Monochromatic Inspired Look
In this outfit, I’ve paired a white ruched, puffed-shoulder padded mini-dress with a white cowboy hat, a white ruched mini-purse, and white cowboy boots with metallic trim detailing.
Take a closer look at the details in the boots themselves, and you will see flying eagles embossed onto them, which nods to the traditional American rock ‘n’ roll/country aesthetic. The eagle is a symbol of classic Americana culture, which I love to embrace and incorporate into my edgier looks when the vibe is right.
Pro Style Tip: Going monochromatic works for every style of dressing up or down. It’s a fail-safe way to look pulled together, chic, and modern.
Prarie Princess Floral Inspired Look
For a day at Spruce Meadows (Equestrian Horse Jumping North American Competition Day), I opted for an all-white ensemble to help reflect the sun while enjoying a day outdoors watching the horses from the grandstands.
For this outfit, I styled a 1970s vintage floral-print embroidered dress with sheer cap sleeves, a white cowboy hat, a ruched mini purse, and 5-inch stiletto patent leather pumps.
For more detail, you’ll see that I used a pair of pearl-embellished earrings to further accentuate the ultra-feminine aesthetic of sweet meets soft and romantic. Sun protection is key. On top of SPF, invest in some multicolored parasols for spring and summer days out. Matching the color of your parasol with your outfit puts you a step ahead of the crowd while providing shade on the go.
Pro Style Tip: When styling a prairie-inspired outfit, add a pair of stiletto heels to elevate the overall look instead of cowboy boots. Additionally, wearing a waist cincher helps fit your prairie-style dress closer to the body, accentuating your figure if you are petite.
Romantic Coquette Cowgirl Look
This outfit demonstrates how you can incorporate the coquette aesthetic in a mature, timeless, and elegant way that transcends the trends seen on social media.I’ve styled a classic pair of high-waisted denim jeans, a white corset featuring lace shoulder straps, a metallic gold leather belt, white and metallic cowboy boots, and my white cowboy hat together.
Customize your cowgirl aesthetic by using the initial of your first name as a decal on your cowboy hat.
Accessories are all about versatility, and this is why I’ve styled the exact same pearl-embellished earrings in this look that I wore in the previously styled outfit above.
Pro Style Tip: Your hairstyle is a great way to amplify the coquette look. Aim for low pigtail braids or a side bun/ponytail to complete your look. You may also want to incorporate a bow into your hair tie of choice.
Rockstar Meets Country Leather Look
For a traditional American-inspired rock star meets country crooner look, it’s time to learn how to incorporate leather or vegan leather into your wardrobe.
Key Points:
- Style Fusion: Combining elements from both rock star and country aesthetics can create a unique and edgy look.
- Material Choices: Incorporating leather and vegan leather adds versatility and texture to outfits, enhancing their overall appeal.
- Wardrobe Essentials: Consider staple pieces like jackets, skirts, and accessories made from these materials to elevate your style.
This approach not only modernizes traditional looks but also allows for personal expression through fashion.
I’ve styled a black-and-white leather swirl-pattern western vest with a black leather bralette and a black leather skirt. On top of the skirt, I layered a fringe leather belt. The fringe leather belt truly customizes this outfit.
Pro Style Tip: Embrace color blocking for a sharper aesthetic and to make your look less predictable. I’ve chosen black, white, and red as my color story for this look, which nods to my personal musical inspirations like Motörhead and Dolly Parton.
