Tiffini Truth is a personal stylist and model who styled her first look for school at the age of 4. The rest is a long history of experiences in/out of the fashion & entertainment industry. Born in Toronto, Tiffini was raised between the USA, NYC, Trinidad, and Canada before the age of 8. Moving frequently exposed her to different cultures and styles due to her illegal immigrant caretaker not having legal documents to stay in one place too long. After living internationally, her caretaker retained citizenship back in Canada and Tiffini spent her teenage years on a Quarter Horse Ranch in Southern Alberta. It was while living in relative isolation on the ranch that Tiffini began painting, drawing, hand-sewing and upcyling vintage clothing, and playing music.

This passion for fashion and personal style led her to her first job as a retail associate for brands like BCBG, Buffalo Jeans, Danier Leather, and privately owned boutiques from 18 – 21. Her creative expression led her into the entertainment industry, where she was discovered as Pin Up model at age 23 via her MySpace profile while working in retail. After making connections in Los Angeles online she began working with celebrities and fashion brands as an international fashion & pin up model.

She was published in various publications such as Inked, Urban Ink, Hot Rod, The Horse, Playboy, Skin Two, Bizarre & Metal Hammer magazine. She also walked runways for major fashion brands in the mid 2000s such as Von Dutch & Ed Hardy while also working with independent fashion designers between LA, Mexico, and NYC.

After modeling, she transformed her artistic expression into a specialty performance art act in 2010. She was recognized by major media outlets for her death-defying stunt work in this act. Using metal strapped to her body and power tools, she composed and performed industrial music while touring internationally. This required Pyrotechnic training and Circus Training for Contortion in Vancouver, Hollywood North.

After several years of performing live, the threat of stunt work injuries became a reality when she almost lost her middle finger on stage while headlining a tour in Atlanta, Georgia, using an angle grinder in 2012. She decided to transfer her artistic expression into Abstract Visual Art and practiced this for several years, curating a solo artist exhibition.

In present day, Tiffini is based in Calgary, Alberta and is almost a decade sober from hard drugs and several years sober from alcohol. As a child, she grew up in a household full of domestic abuse which triggered her substance use issues at 14. Part of home life was that she was never able to have new clothing and was taken to thrift stores for school clothes. This thrifting mindset stayed with her and honed her eye for design & re-purposing vintage garments. She now pairs true vintage, mint-condition thrift store finds with modern and luxury designer pieces.

Her focus as a sober style guide (similar to a sober coach) is to support women who want to stop dressing like their drunk. She simplifies the clothing process for you to not have to worry about what your wearing day to day.
